Seventeen-year-old Aria has walked alongside ghosts her entire life. Luckily, her Lolo is able to brew an elixir that severs her connection to the other world, affording her a mostly normal childhood.

Until her best friend–turned-enemy, Derek, starts acting out of character and strange events befall her neighborhood. To help Derek, Aria must reestablish her link to the afterlife, which could unravel all the work her family has done to protect her.

As Aria races toward the truth of her power, another kind of magic takes her by surprise: love. When the newly reacquainted pair discover there’s an unwanted guest in Derek’s body, they must work together to find the lost soul’s resting place . . . and just maybe talk about what drove them apart. But they’ll need to act fast, or Derek could lose his body forever.
